Q - How old do I have to be to start class?

A – You can take any class that ends AFTER you turn 15.


Q – What are your extra charges?

A -   Our class cost is complete and there are NO EXTRA CHARGES for anything.
        Included is 30 hours of class, books and materials,
free trip to get the permit,
        free pick-up and drop-off for all behind-the-wheel lessons, expressway driving,
        and ALL driving
maneuvers.

 

Q – Do you have a payment plan?

A – Yes, we offer a payment plan at NO extra charge, which our office staff will be 
       happy to arrange for you.

 

Q- How old do I have to be to get my permit?

A – You only need to be 15; in fact you can get your permit on your 15th birthday!

 

Q – Can I get my permit before I start my driver ed class?

A – Yes. You can get your permit if you have enrolled in a driver ed course,
       have completed the first four hours of class, and begin
your driver ed
       course within 30 days.

 

Q – What identification will I need to get my permit? Or my license?

A – For both your permit and license, you will need a certified copy of your birth certificate
       or a valid passport or a state ID; your
social security card (if you are under 18, you can use
       your high school ID with picture for your permit, but you MUST have the social security card
       when you go for your license); and 2 proofs of residency (report card should be one piece).
       You will pay $20.00 to the Secretary of State for the permit and license.
       
       In addition, when you go for your license, you will need your 50 hour log and
       proof of insurance for the car. For further information,

Q – How long must I hold my permit before I can get my license?

A – Nine months or until you turn 18, whichever comes first.

 

Q – Do I need my permit/license with me when I go out driving?

A – Yes, you must always have your permit/license on you when you drive.

 

Q – With my permit, how many people can I have in the car when I drive?

A - Since you have to drive with someone 21 years old or older who has had their license
      for at least one year in the front seat next to 
you,  you can have as many people in the
      back seat as there are seat belts. EVERYONE in the vehicle MUST be belted in.

 

Q – Can you pick me up at home or school for my driving lessons?

A – Yes, we offer free home or school pick up for all behind-the-wheel lessons.

 

Q – What days can I schedule my driving lessons?

A -   Your driving lessons are scheduled to suit your convenience and can be scheduled weekdays,
        after school, evenings, school
holidays  and weekends.

           

Q – Can I upgrade my driving package?

A -   Yes, you can upgrade at any time during the program, to any package and rates
         will be  prorated to insure you the best rate.

             

 

Q – How many classes can I miss? How do I make-up what I miss?

A – You can miss up to 4 classes, all of which must be made up. Some sessions can be
       made up by doing book work assigned by
the instructor, other classes must be made up
       by attending the missed session the following month. Make-up work is arranged by
 
       the teacher or through the office.

 

Q - How long do I have to finish my driver ed program?

A - You should be done with your program in 3 to 6 months. Your permit is valid as long
      as you are an active driver ed student or once 
you have completed driver ed.
      The state requires all students to be complete with class and driving within
      9 months or you may 
have to retake the program.
