ADAMS SCHOOL
OF DRIVING
At a-Adams School of Driving, we are happy to announce three
(3) options for driver education. And, of course, all courses include
everything without any extra charges.
Included in our
Basic
course are 30 hours of class,
6
hours of behind-the-wheel instruction and 6 hours of
mandatory
in-car observation. Included in our
Advantage Plus
program is 30 hours of class and
8
hours of
private
behind-the-wheel instruction. Included in our
Classic Experience
is 30 hours of class and
12
hours of private behind-the-wheel instruction. Completion of
any course will earn state certification. After the second class session,
we will take you for your permit and there is no additional charge for the
permit trip. You will then be scheduled for your first
behind-the-wheel lesson. These lessons are scheduled to suit the student's
convenience and include free pick-up and drop-off at home, school, or work
and the instructor's travel time is never deducted from the lesson.
The cost of our courses also includes a textbook &
workbook, which are yours to keep. There are never any extra charges for
registration fees, make-up classes, or payment plan. At the end of the four
(4) weeks when you have completed the class, and, as soon as you complete
the behind-the-wheel lessons and observation if necessary, we will
immediately certify you with the Secretary of State; and will also mail you
your Adams certificate, which is used toward high school graduation
requirements and your insurance discount.
We also have programs for those teens that need to take only
the behind-the-wheel or class.
Because
prices vary, please call today for complete information
*We will also mail a completion
certificate, which is used to meet graduation requirements and will help lower
your insurance rates.
*All students under the age of eighteen (18) must hold their permit for a
minimum of nine (9) months.
Students over the age of 18, receive private driving instruction based on
their own personal needs. All lessons are given in an Adams vehicle, which is
air conditioned, dual-controlled and safety inspected weekly.
At Adams, all instructors are full time professionals who are very patient
and very understanding, and, because we teach more students than any other
driving school in Illinois, our teachers really are experts at working with
people who are nervous about learning how to drive.
There are no contracts to sign. Students are under no obligation to take
any certain number of lessons. They take only the number of lessons they
personally need to become safe and confident drivers. And, when ready, the
student will take the road test in the same car in which they were trained.
Instructors at Adams are available from 7:00am to 9:00pm weekends and
holidays included at no extra charge.
Students will pay as they learn directly to the instructor at the beginning
of each lesson by cash, check, VISA, MasterCard or Discover.
All training will begin in a low traffic area. Here the student will become
comfortable behind the wheel as learning to make turns. And then, as
confidence is gained, the instructor will take the student out into heavier
traffic, onto the expressway, and before long for the road test.
Learning to drive is easy and fun. Just give us a call to get started right

DOES THE IDEA OF DRIVING ON ICE OR SNOW SCARE YOU?
If you are
someone with a driver's license who answers yes to any of these 3
questions, then maybe it is time to give us a call:
1) Do you get nervous when you hear there is snow in the
forecast and you already have plans to drive somewhere?
2) Do you have doubts about your ability to control your vehicle
on snow and ice?
3) If you come out of the doctor's office or mall and discover it has
snowed 2" while you were in there, are you tempted to call a cab to take you
home?
Well, many of us have felt this way at one time or another regarding driving
on snow or ice. One big reason is we don't get a chance to practice in these
conditions until we are confident. Now, you have an opportunity with a
professional instructor by your side, to experience what every driver will
inevitability have to do in their lifetime.
On your lesson, you will learn:
-
How and when to use neutral and lower gears
-
How to use ABS (anti-lock braking system)
-
How to steer correctly when skidding
So next time, you can look forward to bad weather coming in. When that
happens, give us a call. We'll come to your house, pick you up in our
dual-controlled car, give you some pointers and tips, and you can practice
driving on snow and ice until you know you can do it.
